The March Pump AC-5C-MD is a high-efficiency, magnetically driven centrifugal pump engineered for durability, performance, and chemical resistance. This model is an ideal replacement for the Dometic PMA1000C (part number 331554), making it a popular choice for marine and industrial applications that demand reliable fluid circulation without the risks of seal failure or leakage.

Designed with a powerful 1/8 horsepower fan-cooled motor, the AC-5C-MD operates on 230V AC and is compatible with both 50Hz and 60Hz electrical systems. The magnetic drive design eliminates the need for a shaft seal, significantly reducing maintenance needs and preventing fluid leaks—especially important in marine and chemical-handling environments.

This centrifugal pump is capable of delivering a maximum flow rate of 17 gallons per minute (GPM) at 1 foot of head, with a maximum shut-off head of 27 feet (equivalent to approximately 11 PSI). These performance capabilities make it suitable for systems requiring consistent fluid flow, including marine air conditioning systems up to 48,000 BTU, water-cooled refrigeration, aquarium circulation, and chemical transfer operations.

The AC-5C-MD is constructed from corrosion-resistant materials: the pump housing and impeller are made of polypropylene, the shaft and thrust washers are ceramic, and the O-ring is Buna-N. This construction provides excellent resistance to a variety of chemicals and high-temperature fluids, with a maximum liquid temperature rating of 190°F (87°C) and a pressure rating up to 50 PSI.

The inlet and outlet ports are 1” FPT (female pipe thread) and ½” MPT (male pipe thread) respectively. The pump is supplied with a 3-foot power cord (no plug included), and it must be mounted below the waterline in a flooded suction configuration, as it is not self-priming and must not be run dry.
