The March LC-5C-MD is a high-performance, American-made centrifugal magnetic drive pump engineered for reliability, chemical resistance, and versatile installation. This seal-less pump is a direct replacement for the Dometic PML1000 230V pump (part number 225500288), commonly used in marine air conditioning systems, water circulation, chemical transfer, and other light industrial applications.

Featuring a 1/8 horsepower (0.125 HP) motor, the LC-5C-MD operates on 230 volts in a single-phase configuration and is compatible with both 50Hz and 60Hz power supplies. Its performance differs slightly between frequencies, offering a maximum flow of 14.5 gallons per minute (GPM) and a maximum head of 27 feet (8.2 meters) at 60Hz, and 19.6 feet (6 meters) at 50Hz. These capabilities make it an excellent choice for systems requiring dependable medium-duty fluid circulation.

This pump’s standout feature is its magnetic drive design, which eliminates the need for a shaft seal, drastically reducing the risk of leakage and the need for ongoing maintenance. It can be used either submerged or in a non-submersible configuration, offering flexible installation for various systems and environments.

The wet end—comprising all components in contact with the fluid—is made from highly durable materials including Polypropylene, Buna-N, Ceramic, Ceramic Magnet, and Stainless Steel. When submerged, additional components such as Epoxy, Noryl, and the power cord also come in contact with the solution, ensuring broad chemical compatibility and protection in submerged environments.

Connections include a 1-inch female pipe thread inlet and a ½-inch male pipe thread outlet. The pump is not self-priming and should be mounted below the fluid level in a flooded suction setup.
