Description

Plug 3″ BR Male

The Maestrini Plug 3″ BR Male is a premium-quality brass tapered pipe plug engineered to deliver superior performance, corrosion resistance, and durability in marine, plumbing, and industrial systems. Manufactured by Maestrini, a leading Italian brand in marine-grade fittings, this plug ensures a secure and leak-proof seal for large-diameter pipes and threaded systems.

Crafted from high-grade brass (BR), the 3-inch BSP tapered male thread guarantees a perfect fit when used to seal female threaded pipe ends. It acts as a reliable blanking cap, preventing the escape of fluids or gases while maintaining system pressure integrity. The robust brass construction provides excellent resistance against wear, corrosion, and saltwater exposure — making it an ideal choice for marine water systems, fuel lines, cooling systems, and industrial pipelines.

The Maestrini 3″ BR Male Plug is ideal for above-waterline marine installations and non-submerged plumbing systems where strength, sealing reliability, and corrosion protection are key.

For through-hull or below-waterline applications, all fittings must be properly electrically bonded to prevent electrolytic corrosion. While brass fittings like this are excellent for general marine use, they are not recommended for continuous submersion due to the risk of dezincification. For below-waterline applications, bronze plugs are a more suitable alternative.

🌊 Applications:

• Boat and yacht plumbing systems

• Cooling water lines and bilge systems

• Marine fuel and oil systems

• Industrial and commercial fluid systems
